Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at our Tuas, Singapore plant to oversee equipment design and manufacturing methods for current and new products. You will collaborate with engineering to install, modify, and maintain equipment, develop protocols, and ensure quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
1–4 years of related experience.
Knowledge of SAP system and project management skills.
Ability to make fast decisions and react efficiently.
Understanding of engineering principles, theories concepts, practices and techniques.

Responsibilities

Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products.
Ensures effective use of materials, equipment and personnel to produce quality products at a reasonable cost.
Develops qualification and validation protocols and participates in related activities.
Interfaces with other departments and suppliers to address root causes.
Partners with Engineering on installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Creates and upgrades operating procedures used by manufacturing personnel.
