Job summary
Amgen Singapore is seeking an automation engineer to provide technical expertise for the design, maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management of manufacturing automation systems. You will approve implementations within scope, resolve moderate-complexity issues, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve system reliability, performance, and GMP compliance.
You will support day-to-day automation, participate in projects from design through commissioning and handover,
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering or related field with manufacturing automation focus.
- Experience with GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, or GAMP.
- Experience troubleshooting automation systems in biotech/pharma.
- Knowledge of Siemens and Rockwell PLC/HMI hardware.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT/OT, QA, Maintenance.
- Strong communication and planning skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day automation support and incident investigation.
- Assess, test, deploy, and document automation changes per SOPs.
- Support automation projects from design through handover.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement CAPA actions.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for reliability and compliance.
- Coordinate with multiple departments and external service providers.
- Share knowledge with junior engineers and contractors.
