Job summary

AMGEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.

is seeking an automation engineer to support the design, maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management of manufacturing automation systems, ensuring GMP, GEP, EHSS compliance and reliable operations. You will provide day-to-day automation support, implement changes, participate in risk assessment, commissioning, qualification, and handover for small-to-medium projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Preferred 4+ years in manufacturing automation, especially biotech/pharma.
• Experience with Siemens/Rockwell PLCs and HMI in manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GEP, EHSS and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day automation support, troubleshooting and incident investigation.
• Assess, test, deploy, document automation changes per SOPs and GMP.
• Support automation projects from design to handover.
• Troubleshoot and investigate issues; prepare technical reports and CAPA actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation-system reliability and efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
• Support audits, inspections, and technical discussions within scope.
• Share knowledge with junior engineers and contractors.
