Job summary

VISION FURNITURE (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the full set of accounts, payroll, and tax compliance for our Singapore operations.

The role requires Mandarin fluency for coordination with Chinese-speaking colleagues and strong knowledge of local accounting standards. The successful candidate will set up accounting processes for new entities, supervise monthly and year-end closings, and liaise with banks and auditors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience with full set of accounts.
• Ability to independently manage accounting operations and close with minimal supervision.
• Fluent Mandarin required for coordination with Mandarin-speaking colleagues and business counterparts.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST, tax, and statutory compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in construction accounting and costing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Set up accounting systems, chart of accounts, opening balances and procedures for new companies.
• Manage new company accounting setup, including bank account coordination and statutory registrations.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly payroll, including salary calculations, allowances, deductions and payslips.
• Submit monthly CPF contributions and ensure timely payments.
• Handle IRAS matters, including employment income reporting and corporate tax coordination.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns; coordinate tax filings.
• Liaise with banks on facilities, loans, payments and financing matters.
• Monitor customer collections, supplier payments and working capital.
• Oversee fixed asset records, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and operating expenses; propose improvements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents and authorities.
• Improve accounting systems and reporting processes.
• Coordinate daily finance work with Mandarin-speaking colleagues.
• Support office administration and other duties as assigned.
