Job summary

GMP Technologies seeks a Managing Director, General Manager to lead strategic direction and oversee large-scale IT and banking technology programs in Singapore. You will drive medium- to long-term strategy, translate priorities into measurable goals, and oversee growth initiatives across finance, HR, compliance, legal, and governance functions.

You will mentor the senior leadership team, manage budgets and performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and engage senior stakeholders across Asia

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, Science, Economics, Commerce or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience within banking or financial services.
• At least 10 years in regional leadership and strategic planning capacity.
• Proven experience managing large, multi-level teams of 200+ employees.
• International exposure with experience across multiple overseas markets.
• Strong track record managing large-scale banking technology programs valued above SGD100 million.
• Hands-on knowledge of core banking systems including Accounting, Remittance, Forex, Money Market, GL, MIS.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, change management, service delivery, project governance, and vendor management.
• Fluency in English; Japanese preferred for reporting to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Finance, Science, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience within the banking or financial services industry.
• At least 10 years in a regional leadership and strategic planning capacity.
• Proven experience managing large, multi-level teams of 200+ employees.
• International exposure with experience working across multiple overseas markets.
• Strong track record managing large-scale banking technology programs valued above SGD100 million.
• Hands-on knowledge of core banking systems, including Accounting, Remittance, Forex, Money Market, GL, and MIS.
• Preferably possesses end-to-end experience overseeing both IT and Operations functions within financial institutions.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, change management, service delivery, project governance, and vendor management.
• Strong knowledge of Finance, HR, Compliance, and other corporate control functions.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, presentation, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
• Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across diverse workforce groups and Asia markets.
• Proficiency in English and Japanese preferred, with the ability to prepare reports and present to senior stakeholders who mainly communicate in Japanese.
