Job summary

SMRT Buses Ltd, a subsidiary of SMRT Corporation, recruits a Training Manager to lead curriculum development and implement programmes for bus technicians. Experience with electric bus tech is a plus, and the role emphasizes quality assurance and stakeholder collaboration.

You will drive pedagogic innovation, develop trainers, and oversee assessments, development of the Knowledge Library, and safety standards at the TTC.

Qualifications

  • Degree with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Good knowledge of Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Framework.
  • Preferably ACTA certification.
  • Preferably knowledge of electric bus technologies, training & development experience and Class 4/5 driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum development and implementation of training programmes for bus technicians; advantage for electric bus experience.
  • Oversee quality assurance of training programmes and training-needs-analysis with bus workshop and internal customers.
  • Oversee submission of related claims to SSG; e2i and WSQ-related.
  • Maintain good working relationships with the authority (SGBA) and stakeholders.
  • Drive pedagogic innovation and leverage new technology to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Manage professional development of trainers to enhance competency.
  • Responsible for assessment and qualification framework for trainers and technicians.
  • Lead strategic projects to enhance training deliveries and outcomes.
  • Manage operations of the Technical Training Centre including budget, schedules, assets.
  • Uphold stringent safety standards for trainers and trainees in TTC.
  • Undertake projects like development of curated e-learning materials (Knowledge Library).

  • Lead the curriculum development and implementation of training programmes to uphold highest standards of technical competencies for bus technicians. (Advantage provided to candidates with experience in electric bus technologies)
  • Oversee the quality assurance of training programmes and drive training-needs-analysis in collaboration with bus workshop and internal customers.
  • Oversee submission of related claims to SSG; e2i and/or WSQ-related.
  • Maintain good working relationship with the authority (SGBA) and stakeholders.
  • Drive pedagogic innovation and leverage on new technology and media to create engaging and effective learning experience.
  • Manage the professional development of trainers to enhance their competency and effectiveness as professional trainers.
  • Responsible for the assessment and qualification framework for technical trainers and technicians.
  • Lead and drive strategic projects to enhance training deliveries and training outcomes.
  • Manage all operations aspects of the Technical Training Centre (TTC) including budget, training schedule, assets, etc.
  • Uphold stringent safety standards required of the trainers and trainees in TTC.
  • Undertake assigned projects and roles such as development of curated e-learning materials (Knowledge Library).
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Degree with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
