Job summary

The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals in Singapore. You will assist with operations and engagement at The Animal Lodge (TAL) and support tenancy and estate management while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth TAL operations.

You will engage with animal groups, contractors, tenants and AVS colleagues, bringing energy, initiative and meticulous coordination to every task.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer coordination, outreach, community engagement and partnerships is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and coordination abilities.
• Independent, self-motivated and meticulous with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support tenancy, projects and estate management work.
• Support operational work including setting up engagement sessions, general administration, secretarial support, process reviews, procurement of services, engage tenants and public on TAL-related matters, manage feedback.
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as animal groups, contractors, tenants, and AVS to ensure smooth operations at TAL.
• Perform other assignments or projects as required.

What the role is:

The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals through comprehensive and integrated programmes and works closely with partners in the veterinary and animal-related industries to strengthen capacities and enhance competencies in animal health and welfare. It is the main touchpoint on animal and veterinary matters in Singapore and the First Responder for all animal-related feedback. It also conducts public education and engagement programmes to foster a humane and gracious society for all, where pet owners, communities, and animals co-exist in greater harmony within our biophilic City in Nature.

You will be part of the team to manage operations and engagement efforts at The Animal Lodge (TAL). As part of your daily work, you will be assisting with the following:

• Support tenancy, projects and estate management work
• Support operational work including setting up engagement sessions, performing general administration, such as, secretarial support, process reviews, procurement of services, engage tenants and public on TAL-related matters, manage feedback
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as animal groups (AGs), contractors, tenants, and work cohesively within AVS to ensure smooth operations at TAL
• Perform other assignments or projects as required

What we are looking for:

• Experience in volunteer coordination, outreach, community engagement and partnerships and/or communications-related work will be an advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong management and coordination skills, independent, self-motivated, meticulous and enthusiastic.
• Independent and able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Positive attitude, energetic, and passionate about animals.
• Comfortable working in close proximity with animals
• Willing to work outdoors, after office hours and during weekends when required
