Job summary

The Animal Lodge (TAL) team at The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) is seeking a proactive individual to support tenancy, projects and estate management while driving community engagement initiatives. You will help set up engagement sessions, handle administration, procurement of services, and liaise with tenants and the public on TAL matters.

A background in volunteer coordination or outreach, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for animals are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating volunteers and engaging communities is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support tenancy, projects and estate management work.
• Assist with engagement sessions and general administration, e.g., secretarial support, procurement of services; engage tenants and the public on TAL matters; manage feedback.
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as animal groups, contractors, tenants, and AVS staff to ensure smooth TAL operations.
• Perform other assignments or projects as required.

What the role is

The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals through comprehensive and integrated programmes and works closely with partners in the veterinary and animal-related industries to strengthen capacities and enhance competencies in animal health and welfare. It is the main touchpoint on animal and veterinary matters in Singapore and the First Responder for all animal-related feedback. It also conducts public education and engagement programmes to foster a humane and gracious society for all, where pet owners, communities, and animals co-exist in greater harmony within our biophilic City in Nature.

What you will be working on

You will be part of the team to manage operations and engagement efforts at The Animal Lodge (TAL). As part of your daily work, you will be assisting with the following:

• Support tenancy, projects and estate management work
• Support operational work including setting up engagement sessions, performing general administration, such as, secretarial support, process reviews, procurement of services, engage tenants and public on TAL-related matters, manage feedback
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as animal groups (AGs), contractors, tenants, and work cohesively within AVS to ensure smooth operations at TAL
• Perform other assignments or projects as required
