Job summary

Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned technology leader to direct the system development and support team in Singapore.

You will drive delivery of complex software projects, manage both in-house engineers and external vendors, and ensure high quality, on-time implementation and maintenance of enterprise systems. You will guide budgeting, architectures, and roadmaps, while coaching your team to excellence and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in system development, support, and integration.
• Strong leadership and team management with supervision of software engineers and vendors.
• Extensive knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, DevOps, and MLOps.
• Experience with AI model training and lifecycle management is advantageous.
• Proven ability to estimate effort and duration for requirements, design, testing, and interfaces.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, business-focused environments with a customer-centric mindset.
• Proven track record of driving initiatives and fostering collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the system development and support team including in-house engineers and vendors.
• Ensure successful implementation, integration, and maintenance of systems.
• Oversee service requests, incidents, problems, changes, and projects for quality delivery.
• Support day-to-day operation of custom-built and COTS software systems.
• Prioritize, delegate, supervise activities, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Hire, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen technical capabilities.
• Maintain technical documentation and project roadmaps; ensure compliance.
• Manage software service vendors to meet SLAs and quality delivery.
• Analyze budgets, technologies, and resources to plan projects on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, managers, and contractors on strategic technical decisions.

Job description

• Ensure successful implementation, integration, and maintenance of systems using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
• Oversee service requests, incidents, problems, change requests, and projects to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Support day-to-day operation of custom-built and COTS software systems.
• Prioritize, delegate, and supervise team activities and deliverables, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Hire, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen technical capabilities.
• Maintain technical documentation, project roadmaps, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Manage software service vendors to ensure adherence to service levels and quality delivery.
• Analyze budgets, technologies, and resources to plan and execute projects on schedule and within budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, managers, and contractors to support strategic technical decisions.

Requirements

• Possesses a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system development, support, and integration.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with experience supervising software engineers and vendors.
• Extensive knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, DevOps, and MLOps.
• Experience with AI model training, AI lifecycle management, and SBOMs is an advantage.
• Proven ability to estimate effort and duration for requirements, design, testing, implementation, data mapping, and interfaces.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Ability to work under fast-paced, business-focused environments while maintaining a positive outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives, foster collaboration, ensure compliance, and instill a customer-focused ethic across the team.
