SATS Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a leader to run the Singapore Hub Operations Control Centre (SIOC), driving operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction during routine operations, crises and major disruptions.

You will manage budgets, push process improvements, and coordinate with multiple Business Units to deliver real-time control, decisive decision-making, and resilient performance across the hub.

Qualifications

  • Minimum tertiary qualification from a recognised institution.
  • 5–7 years of relevant airport/operations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ground handling operations and industry practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Singapore Hub Operations Control Centre (SIOC) for excellence.
  • Ensure OPEX stays within budget through cost control.
  • Drive continuous improvement to boost productivity and efficiency.
  • Promote a strong safety culture with frontline staff.
  • Coordinate crises, emergencies and disruptions across hub.
  • Provide real-time situational leadership and decisive decisions.
  • Collaborate with other control centres and stakeholders to strengthen C3i capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Singapore Hub Operations Control Centre (SIOC) to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, safety performance, and effective command and control during routine operations, crises, and major disruptions.

  • Ensure operational expenditure (OPEX) remains within approved budget through effective management and control of operating costs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through regular engagement with frontline operational staff.
  • Drive awareness and compliance with safety standards by sharing lessons learned from internal and external incidents, accidents, and industry best practices.
  • Foster a proactive safety mindset across all operational teams.
  • Lead the SIOC team in coordinating Singapore Hub-wide responses to crises, emergencies, and major operational disruptions.
  • Provide real-time situational leadership, stakeholder alignment, and decisive decision-making to minimize operational impact and ensure safe restoration of normal operations.
  • Strengthen command and control capabilities through close collaboration with Business Units' Control Centres and key stakeholders.
  • Continuously review and optimize operational processes, procedures, and organizational structures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Refine communication protocols and coordination workflows across business units to enhance operational responsiveness.
  • Leverage technology and digital solutions to transform SIOC into a next-generation Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3i) operations centre.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum tertiary qualification from a recognized institution.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in airport ground handling, operations control, or a related operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ground handling operations and industry practices.
  • Ability to conduct business process analysis and drive process improvements.
  • Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing policies, procedures, and operational frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical mindset.
  • Effective influencing, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking capabilities across multiple functions and stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic operational environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
