Job description

Manager / Senior Manager, Communications and Executive Support, National Robotics Programme (NRP) Requisition ID: 3446 Posting Start Date: 15/10/2026

Job Description

The National Robotics Programme Office (NRPO) is responsible for catalysing differentiated robotics R&D capabilities at our Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and Research Institutes (RIs) for the benefit of our economy and society. NRPO works with industry and research partners to translate publicly funded robotics technologies and intellectual property into useful products, services and solutions adopted in Singapore and around the world.

NRPO also supports the Singapore Embodied AI Centre (EAIC), a new national initiative under the RIE2030 Manufacturing, Trade and Connectivity domain to establish Singapore as a leading robotics and embodied AI hub. EAIC brings together research and industry partners to build engineering and R&D capabilities, advance trusted evaluation, benchmarking and validation of embodied AI models and robotics solutions, and promote an open and interoperable ecosystem that accelerates adoption in real-world applications.

We are looking for a self‑motivated person to join NRPO and be assigned to EAIC to manage its communications activities and provide executive and personal assistant support to the EAIC Centre Director. Working closely with EAIC’s leadership and relevant communications colleagues, the successful candidate will perform the following:

  • Support the development and implementation of EAIC’s communications plans and key messages to strengthen its profile and communicate its capabilities, activities and achievements.
  • Manage EAIC’s website and social media channels, including content planning, editing, publishing, maintaining accurate information and monitoring audience engagement. Coordinate contributions from outreach and technical colleagues and obtain the necessary reviews and approvals.
  • Prepare and coordinate publicity materials and announcements, and support media matters in consultation with relevant corporate communications teams. Coordinate event publicity with the outreach lead and external vendors.
  • Provide executive and personal assistant support to the EAIC Centre Director, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements and correspondence.
  • Prepare briefs, presentations and meeting records, coordinate inputs across colleagues and partners, and track decisions and follow‑up actions.
  • Coordinate procurement, track expenditure and manage vendors for assigned communications activities, and support related administrative matters with NRPO.
Requirements
  • Degree in Communications, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in communications, corporate affairs, executive support or a related role, preferably within the public sector or a research and innovation environment. Appointment at Manager or Senior Manager level will be commensurate with experience and capabilities.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to translate technical inputs into accessible content and prepare clear management briefs and correspondence.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with internal colleagues, external partners and senior leaders.
  • Sound judgement, professionalism and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure.
  • Familiarity with the robotics and/or AI industry or research ecosystem is an added advantage.
