Job summary

MINDEF is seeking an analyst to provide in-depth intelligence on regional security and geopolitical developments to guide Army policy decisions. You will produce rigorous qualitative and quantitative analyses, stay abreast of evolving regional dynamics, and contribute to defence policy-making.

The role emphasises independent work, strong writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What the role is:

You play a pivotal role in safeguarding Singapore's defence and security interests by providing intelligence analysis on regional security and geo-political developments to drive Army policy and decision-making.

What you will be working on:

• Carry out comprehensive analysis on regional security and geo-political developments
• Plan and formulate defence relation policies and strategies
• Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external agencies
• Challenge(s)
• Keeping abreast of rapidly evolving regional security and geo-political developments
• Undertaking rigorous qualitative and quantitative research

What we are looking for:

• Education in International Relations, Political Science, Political Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, or a related field is preferred
• Good logical, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Effective communication and writing skills
• Strong research capabilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment(Applicants with no experience may apply.)
