Job summary

Caritas Singapore is seeking a Manager, Memberships to strengthen its presence and impact through strategic public relations, communication and marketing initiatives.

The role reports to the Executive Director and focuses on fostering partnerships within the Caritas Singapore Family and the wider social service ecosystem. You will lead a small team and oversee membership processing, while supporting other projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Business or Communications Studies preferred.
• Strategic thinking with hands-on experience planning and executing programmes and events.
• Strong writing skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in managing teams.
• 4–5 years in the social sector would be beneficial.
• Experience in community development and community building helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead in planning and implementing strategies to foster relationships with member organizations and partners in the social service ecosystem.
• Oversee planning and implementation of programmes and events to enhance collaboration and networking across stakeholders.
• Lead a small team handling membership applications and affiliations for Caritas Singapore Family.
• Build and manage the Membership Team to engage member organizations and partners.
• Provide secretariat support to the Caritas Singapore Membership Committee.
• Provide support on other projects/tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Manager, Memberships to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing Caritas Singapore's presence, reputation, and impact through strategic public relations, communication, and marketing initiatives.

Reporting to the Executive Director, your main role and responsibilities are:

• Lead in planning and implementing strategies to foster strong relationships with: a. member organizations in the Caritas Singapore Family b. other partners in the social service ecosystem.
• Oversee the planning and implementation of programmes and events that foster greater collaboration and networking across various stakeholders (with emphasis on member organizations in the Caritas Singapore Family).
• Lead a small team to work with potential and existing member organizations in the Caritas Singapore Family on all matters relating to Membership in Caritas, including, but not limited to processing and evaluating membership application and status for affiliations and associates.
• Build a strong Membership Team to closely engage and manage relationships with member organizations in the Caritas Singapore Family and other partners in the social service ecosystem.
• Provide secretariat support to the Caritas Singapore Membership Committee.
• Provide support on other projects/tasks as assigned by the Executive Director, Caritas Singapore.

Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Social Work, Business or Communications Studies) with these qualities:
• Strategic thinking with hands-on experience planning and executing programmes and events
• Have strong writing skills and an eye for attention to detail.
• Experience in managing teams
• 4 - 5 years of experience in the social sector as an employee would be beneficial.
• Experience in community development and community building would be advantageous.
