Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd is seeking a manager to lead Drive Warehouse Operations, Distribution Operations, Logistics Solutioning, Safety and Health Operations, and Business Continuous Improvement. You will coordinate end-to-end logistics, optimize storage layouts, ensure equipment maintenance, and manage risk and performance across the distribution network.

You willplan resources, liaise with internal stakeholders, and drive improvements under the guidance of senior logistics leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive Warehouse Operations: Plan end-to-end logistics and fulfilment services to business units within the company.
• Drive Warehouse Operations: Plan and review warehouse storage and layout plans
• Drive Warehouse Operations: Ensure safe operations and maintenance of all warehouse Material Handling Equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, stacker cranes, lifting platforms)
• Drive Warehouse Operations: Determine warehouse storage system strategy considering conditions, operations and environment
• Drive Warehouse Operations: Manage and review warehouse operations using supply chain and business management principles
• Drive Warehouse Operations: Develop warehouse operations performance goals using quality management knowledge
• Drive Warehouse Operations: Plan resource within business activities
• Drive Warehouse Operations: Manage performance and serviceability of warehouse equipment and storage systems
• Drive Warehouse Operations: Maintain stock and inventory records for stock issue, transfer, amendment, freight and delivery
• Drive Distribution Operations: Plan resources for transport, freight forwarding and reverse logistics execution
• Drive Distribution Operations: Develop plans and identify strategic priorities of distribution nodes
• Drive Distribution Operations: Anticipate emerging distribution operations to determine future resource requirements
• Drive Distribution Operations: Communicate distribution data analysis to stakeholders
• Drive Distribution Operations: Ensure timely distribution based on need-by date and forecast
• Drive Distribution Operations: Formulate vehicle fleet management strategies
• Drive Logistics Solutioning: Manage and review logistics policies, standards, and procedures
• Drive Logistics Solutioning: Develop solutions to address gaps in supply chain operations
• Drive Logistics Solutioning: Improve supply chain program management plans
• Drive Logistics Solutioning: Lead development plans to implement innovative logistics solutions
• Drive Logistics Solutioning: Evaluate risk factors
• Drive Safety and Health Operations: Work with EHS to enforce safety standards
• Drive Safety and Health Operations: Drive WSH activities for compliance
• Drive Safety and Health Operations: Lead WSH solutioning discussions
• Drive Safety and Health Operations: Manage safety and health risk assessment
• Drive Safety and Health Operations: Lead changes based on risk assessments
• Drive Safety and Health Operations: Influence behavior to resolve non-conformance
• Drive Business Continuous Improvement: Review business process improvements for effectiveness
• Drive Business Continuous Improvement: Formulate mitigating actions for process change risks
• Drive Business Continuous Improvement: Encourage innovation like KAIZEN

Job description

Drive Warehouse Operations

• Plan end-to-end logistics and fulfilment services to business units within the company.
• Plan and review warehouse storage and layout plans
• Ensure safe operations and maintenance of all warehouse Material Handling Equipment e.g. Forklift, Reach Truckers, Stacker Cranes, lifting platforms etc.
• Determine warehouse storage system strategy using knowledge of changes in conditions, operations and the environment and its impact to outcomes
• Manage and review warehouse operations through application of supply chain and business management principles
• Develop warehouse operations performance goals using quality management knowledge
• Plan resource within business activities
• Manage the performance level and ensure serviceability of warehouse equipment and storage systems e.g. Automatic Retrieval Systems, Vertical Carousels and racks
• Responsible for accurate maintenance of stock and inventory records relating to stock issue, transfer, amendment, freight, and delivery

Drive Distribution Operations

• Plans and review resources for transport, freight forwarding and reverse logistics execution
• Develop plans and identify strategic priorities of each specific distribution nodes
• Anticipate emerging distribution operations to determine future resource requirements
• Communicate distribution operations data analysis to key stakeholders
• Ensure timely distribution operation based on need-by date and forecast of needs with efficient use of resources
• Formulate vehicle fleet management strategies across different plans
• Manage performance of logistics partners (vendors, carriers, freight-forwarders, and port authorities) to ensure compliance and alignment with customer requirements and contractual obligations

Drive Logistics Solutioning

• Manage and review logistics policies, standards, and operating procedures
• Develop solutions to address gaps and weaknesses in supply chain operations
• Improve supply chain program management plans
• Lead development plans to implement innovative logistics solutions
• Evaluate risk factors that impact efficiency

Drive Safety and Health Operations

• Work with EHS officers in enforcing safety standards and procedures in promoting a safe work environment.
• Drive WSH activities to ensure department's compliance to requirements
• Lead WSH solutioning discussions around suggestions to improve existing processes
• Manage safety and health risk assessment
• Lead proactive changes based on WSH risk assessment reports to determine hazards
• Influence behavioral changes to resolve areas of non-conformance to WSH standards

Drive Business Continuous Improvement

• Review business processes improvement solutions to determine effectiveness
• Formulate mitigating actions or contingency plans for risks associated with process changes
• Motivate colleagues at organizational level to develop innovative solutions for driving change e.g. KAIZEN initiatives
