Job summary

The Singapore National Eye Centre is seeking a motivated Finance Manager, Financial Reporting to join our Finance team. This role offers broad exposure to financial reporting, consolidation, and budget management within a dynamic healthcare environment.

You will lead month-end and year-end closing, prepare consolidated statements, coordinate annual budget cycles, support external audits, and provide analysis for cost optimisations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification.
• Six years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation, or management accounting.
• Membership of ISCA or ACCA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, cashflow statements, and statistical reports.
• Coordinate the annual budget cycle including template preparation and departmental consolidation.
• Support external audits with audit schedules and coordination.
• Provide financial analysis and advisory support for contracts and cost optimisation.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, SOPs and workflows per regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements within the finance function.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by supervisor.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced finance professional to join our Finance team as Manager, Financial Reporting. This role offers broad exposure to the full spectrum of financial reporting, consolidation, and budget management within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial data
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, cashflow statements, and statistical reports
• Coordinate the end-to-end annual budget cycle, including template preparation, departmental consolidation and management presentations
• Support the annual external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with external auditors
• Provide financial analysis and advisory support for service agreements, cost-benefit assessments, and cost optimisation initiatives
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls, SOPs, and workflows in line with organisational and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor from time to time

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification, with at least 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation, or management accounting
• Membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as ISCA or ACCA is preferred
• Hands-on experience in month-end and year-end closing processes, variance analysis, and management reporting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with solid working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
• Experience in budget planning and coordination across multiple business units
• Knowledge of SAP and experience in the healthcare sector are advantageous
• Meticulous, analytical, and able to present financial findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Effective communicator who manages priorities well and works collaboratively across functions
