Job summary

Singapore National Eye Centre is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to provide operational support for polyclinic facilities, infrastructure and biomedical equipment. The role focuses on leading FM/BME activities, ensuring 24/7 readiness, and managing projects with external providers to maintain uninterrupted clinical services.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or FM, 5+ years in the field (3+ in supervisory roles), strong knowledge of M&E systems and biomedical

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, FM or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, with 3+ years in supervision (healthcare FM/BME preferred).
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, biomedical equipment, and project/vendor management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fire Safety Manager certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operations: Develop and monitor FM/BME work plans and KPIs to ensure continuous, safe, and cost-effective operations.
• Manage Facilities: Ensure 24/7 operational readiness. Oversee service providers, manage projects (renovation, upgrades), and handle new facility handovers.
• Oversee Medical Equipment: Manage the full lifecycle of biomedical assets from commissioning and maintenance to repair, calibration, and disposal.
• Drive Performance: Optimize costs and equipment efficiency. Lead incident investigations and implement improvements.
• Ensure Emergency Readiness: Act as FM/BME lead during emergencies and business continuity events.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
