Since launching in 1998, Disney Cruise Line has established itself as a leader in the cruise industry, providing a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and children can experience all Disney has to offer. Role Overview

The Manager, Entertainment & Training Standards is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs and operational processes for entertainment and recreation activities. This role ensures adherence to safety protocols, maintains high-quality standards, and drives continuous improvement, all in alignment with guest experience expectations. By optimizing both performance and efficiency, the Manager plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting the overall success of the organization.


Responsibilities


  • Design and implement operational processes for entertainment and recreation activities.

  • Establish quality standards and conduct audits to ensure compliance.

  • Emphasize continuous improvement and alignment with guest experience standards.


Training Programs


  • Develop and deliver training programs for shipboard and shoreside teams.

  • Manage onboarding, succession planning, and talent development for Youth Activities, Entertainment Hosts, and Leadership roles.

  • Oversee documentation, compliance with maritime regulations, and integration with safety/security protocols.

  • Partner with Mgr Entertainment Technical Operations to create and manage eLearning content and technical crew training programs.

  • Partner with shipboard and shoreside leadership to ensure technical excellence and safety compliance.

  • Collaborate with HR and recruiting to build internal and external talent pipelines.

  • Support show quality, safety, and operational efficiency through technical training.


Requirements


  • 5-7 years of experience

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs and operational processes.

  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations and safety protocols.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Experience with eLearning content creation and training initiatives is a plus.
