Job summary

Capella Hotels and Resorts, based in Singapore, leads the Design & Technical Services team in evaluating hotel development opportunities and conducting project feasibility assessments. The role supports concept development and provides analytical insights to growth initiatives across Capella and Patina brands, reporting to the Senior VP, Design & Technical Services.

Candidates should have architecture or hospitality background and 3–5 years' hospitality consulting experience, with strong design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture & Urban Planning, Hospitality or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in hospitality consulting.
• Able to decipher construction documents and have a keen eye for design and space planning.
• Strong communication in English; proficiency in other languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review project development drawings and reports for new leads for Capella and Patina branded hotels, resorts and branded residences.
• Conduct preliminary feasibility studies, evaluate market demand, competitive supply, destination potential and development opportunities.
• Research and analyze data on tourism, demographic, economic, hospitality, wellness, lifestyle, and luxury travel trends.
• Contribute ideas for guest experience, programming, F&B, wellness, and placemaking concepts in collaboration with Operations, Brand and Sales teams.
• Assist in developing project narratives, development briefs, owner presentations, and strategic reports in relation to brand fit and concept strategies.

Job description

The role, which is based in Singapore executes and supports the Design & Technical Services team in evaluating hotel development opportunities, conducting project feasibility assessments, assisting in concept development, and providing analytical insights to support strategic growth initiatives for the company's luxury hospitality brands.

This position reports directly to Senior Vice President, Design & Technical Services and is accountable to the Chief Development Officer.

THE ROLE

Project Feasibility & Market Assessment

• Review project development drawings and reports for new leads for both Capella and Patina branded hotels, resorts and branded residences.
• Conduct preliminary feasibility studies, evaluate market demand, competitive supply, destination potential and development opportunities.
• Research and analyze data on tourism, demographic, economic, hospitality, wellness, lifestyle, and luxury travel trends.

TALENT PROFILE

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in either Architecture & Urban Planning, Hospitality or other related discipline

Work Experience

3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in one or more of the following:

• Hospitality consulting

Technical Skills

• Able to decipher construction documents and have a keen eye for design and space planning.
• Good competency in design & project management tools.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation development skill set.
• Proficiency in presentation techniques and application programs (e.g. PPT, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite & MS Office).
• Competent and confident communicator in English, in verbal, graphics and written forms; proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
