Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Singapore is seeking a data analytics professional to design and deliver MI dashboards and analytics end-to-end for banking clients.

You will partner with coverage, product and workstream stakeholders to translate requirements into datasets, dashboards and clear insights, applying robust data quality checks and governance. Strong Python/SQL skills and experience with BI tools are essential.

In This Role You Will

• Partner with coverage, product, and workstream stakeholders to understand use cases, clarify requirements and translate needs into MI and analytics deliverables.
• Identify, source and curate datasets from approved data sources to build and maintain client-level datasets and clear status reporting linking migration status, milestones, owners, dependencies and blockers.
• Develop, enhance and maintain MI / performance dashboards to the agreed cadence, providing clear commentary and supporting evidence.
• Identify trends, exceptions and performance drivers, translating complex datasets into clear insights and practical recommendations.
• Refresh, reconcile and validate data from strategic data sources by applying robust data quality checks, documenting assumptions, maintaining issue logs and following up with data owners to resolve data issues.
• Support governance, controls and operational disciplines for data management and reporting.
• Support Project and ad hoc activities where necessary.

To Be Successful You Will Need

• Advanced Python, SQL and Excel proficiency, with proven ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• Experience delivering MI, dashboards and analytics end-to-end in a banking / financial services context preferred.
• Strong understanding of data quality and controls, including reconciliations, definitions, lineage, issue management and cut-off timing, with high attention to detail.
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills, able to work across Coverage, Business Management, Product, Finance, Risk / Compliance and Technology.
• Familiarity with BI tools and agile delivery tools/processes (e.g., JIRA/Confluence) is a plus.
• Familiarity with SG core banking MI constructs and architecture (e.g., product mappings, client/account linkages etc.) is an advantage.
