Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks a capable Content Editor to build national identity and public engagement through compelling content for NE, Total Defence, and community initiatives. Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in content development and editorial work preferred.
• Experience in social media content creation and account management would be advantageous.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Eye for detail and ability to multitask; open to new challenges.
• Appointment commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital content strategies, design curriculum, and produce content to engage the public and target audiences for NE, Total Defence, and community engagement objectives.
• Evaluate outcomes and stay informed on audience engagement developments to review and improve content strategies and development.
• Integrate stakeholder requirements to ensure content is holistic, relevant, and aligned with national agenda and policy positions.
• Monitor and assess content initiatives and recommend improvements for audience engagement and outreach.
• Develop breadth and depth of knowledge of Singapore's national agenda across sectors to produce informed content.
• Take a holistic view by integrating stakeholder requirements with varying priorities and perspectives.

What You Will Be Working On

• Develop digital content strategies, design curriculum, and produce content that effectively engages the public and target audiences to meet National Education (NE), Total Defence, and community engagement objectives
• Evaluate outcomes and stay abreast of latest developments in audience engagement to conduct reviews and enhance content strategies, plans, and development
• Integrate and analyse requirements of different stakeholders to ensure content is holistic, relevant, and aligned with Singapore's national agenda and policy positions
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of content initiatives and recommend improvements to enhance audience engagement and outreach
  Challenge(s)
• Developing breadth and depth of knowledge of Singapore's national agenda and policy positions across diverse sectors to produce informed and relevant content
• Taking a holistic view by integrating and analysing requirements of different stakeholders with varying priorities and perspectives

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Communications Studies, Humanities or Social Sciences or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in content development and editorial work is preferred
• Experience in social media content creation and account management with relevant production skills would be advantageous
• Good command of spoken and written English with strong interpersonal and organisational skills
• Eye for detail with ability to multitask and openness to new challenges
