Job summary

Income Insurance Limited in Singapore seeks an experienced professional for the Underwriting & Risk Management division. The role encompasses risk assessment, portfolio oversight, and technical support on marine products, with a strong emphasis on accurate pricing and disciplined risk selection.

You will also contribute to business development through relationship management, market growth initiatives, and pipeline development to broaden the agency network and cross-sell across lines of business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years working experience in similar capacity.
• Experience in Marine Cargo preferred.
• Degree in any discipline.

Responsibilities

• Risk Assessment: Evaluate, price, and underwrite new and renewal commercial lines business within authorized limits.
• Portfolio Oversight: Manage an assigned portfolio, ensuring profitability and maintaining desired loss ratios through disciplined risk selection and technical excellence.
• Quotations: Prepare quotations, endorsements, and renewals within designated authority limit and within compliance of guidelines.
• Technical Support on Marine Portfolio: Provide technical support to other underwriters on Marine Products.
• Relationship Management: Cultivate and strengthen strategic partnerships with intermediaries.
• Market Growth: Execute sales and business development strategies to expand the customer base and achieve recruitment and premium targets.
• Pipeline Development: Identify new agency appointments and proactively find opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling across various lines of business.

Requirements

1. Minimum 7 years working experience in similar capacity
2. Experience in Marine Cargo preferred

4. Passed BCP and ComGI
5. Ability to multi-task whilst being meticulous and working well unpressured
6. Self-disciplined and ability to work with minimum supervision
7. Ability to work as a team
