Job summary

Robotic and Ai Global is seeking a forward-thinking R&D Lead to drive mobile phone retail and related tech initiatives in Singapore. You will lead research on smartphones, devices, software and emerging services, and develop improvements for products, services and in-store operations.

You will analyse market trends, customer preferences and competitor offerings, test new systems with partners, and prepare reports and proposals to guide strategic decisions.

• Work with IT vendors and technology partners to test and implement new systems and digital solutions.
• Conduct product testing, technical evaluation and performance analysis before introducing new products or services.
• Develop strategies to improve mobile-device sales, accessory sales, customer experience and after-sales services.
• Research opportunities for online sales through e-commerce and social-commerce platforms.
• Analyse sales and inventory data to identify fast-moving products, slow-moving products and potential new product categories.
• Coordinate with management, sales, service engineers, suppliers and IT teams on R&D projects.
• Prepare research reports, feasibility studies and management presentations.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and digital transformation within mobile shops.
• Monitor new developments in telecommunications, smartphones, AI, IoT, mobile applications and retail technology.
• Establish testing procedures, project timelines and performance indicators for R&D initiatives.
• Ensure R&D activities comply with applicable company policies and Singapore regulatory requirements.
