• Lead research and development initiatives for mobile phone retail, telecommunications and related technology services.
• Research new smartphones, mobile devices, accessories, software, digital services and emerging technologies.
• Analyse market trends, customer preferences, competitor products, pricing and new business opportunities.
• Develop and improve products, services and operational solutions for mobile retail outlets.
• Work with IT vendors and technology partners to test and implement new systems and digital solutions.
• Conduct product testing, technical evaluation and performance analysis before introducing new products or services.
• Develop strategies to improve mobile-device sales, accessory sales, customer experience and after-sales services.
• Research opportunities for online sales through e-commerce and social-commerce platforms.
• Analyse sales and inventory data to identify fast-moving products, slow-moving products and potential new product categories.
• Coordinate with management, sales, service engineers, suppliers and IT teams on R&D projects.
• Prepare research reports, feasibility studies, business proposals and management presentations.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and digital transformation within mobile shops.
• Monitor new developments in telecommunications, smartphones, AI, IoT, mobile applications and retail technology.
• Establish testing procedures, project timelines and performance indicators for R&D initiatives.
• Ensure R&D activities comply with applicable company policies and Singapore regulatory requirements.
