Job summary

ANGLESEY EMPLOYMENT AGENCY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Manager to oversee the company’s freight transport arrangement operations, coordinating transportation services and ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, safely, and in compliance with requirements.

You will manage client and carrier relationships, supervise staff, optimize routes and costs, handle inquiries and quotations, and contribute to service quality and business development across our logistics network.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily freight transport arrangement and logistics operations.
• Coordinate with clients, transport providers, drivers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to arrange transportation services.
• Plan and coordinate the movement, collection, and delivery of goods according to customer requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable transport service providers and subcontractors.
• Monitor shipment schedules, delivery status, and transportation arrangements to ensure timely service.
• Handle customer enquiries, service requests, quotations, and operational issues.
• Negotiate transportation rates and service terms with carriers and logistics partners where required.
• Prepare and review quotations, transport arrangements, invoices, delivery documents, and operational records.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Resolve delivery delays, scheduling issues, damaged cargo, and other transport-related matters.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable transport, workplace safety, and company requirements.
• Supervise and guide operations and administrative staff involved in freight transportation arrangements.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure daily operational tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve service quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, customers, transport providers, and operational activities.
• Assist management with business development, client acquisition, and expansion of freight transport services.
• Prepare operational reports and provide management with updates on business performance and transportation activities.
• Perform other managerial and operational duties as required by the company.
