Job summary

Premium Automobiles Group is seeking a friendly, proactive Retail Assistant to support daily operations of its automotive retail store in a shopping mall. You will assist with store opening/closing, vehicle presentation, inventory checks and lead generation while learning the AVATR, CHANGAN, XPENG and ZEEKR brands.

You will greet visitors, share basic product information, escalate complex questions to the Sales Consultant, and help maintain brand standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O-Level, N-Level, Nitec or equivalent qualification; relevant retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, automotive or lifestyle retail is an added advantage.
• Friendly, approachable and confident in engaging customers from different backgrounds.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn automotive product knowledge and explain vehicle features clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is clean, organised and ready for operation.
• Maintain the presentation of display vehicles, furniture, promotional materials and customer areas.
• Monitor stocks of brochures, merchandise, giveaways and other promotional materials, and replenish supplies when required.
• Assist with inventory checks, basic administrative duties and the maintenance of store records.
• Report maintenance issues, operational concerns or incidents to the Store Manager promptly.
• Welcome and engage mall visitors professionally, creating a positive first impression of the featured brand.
• Provide basic product information on vehicles displayed in the store, including key features and specifications.
• Develop and maintain basic product knowledge of each featured brand through trainings and guidance from the Store Manager.
• Answer general customer enquiries confidently and accurately, using approved product information.
• Refer detailed enquiries relating to pricing, financing, trade-ins, technical matters, test drives, negotiations and purchase decisions to the assigned Sales Consultant.
• Ensure customer enquiries are attended to promptly, particularly when the Sales Consultant is temporarily away from the store.
• Identify opportunities to engage mall visitors and introduce them to the featured brand and vehicles on display.
• Capture customer enquiries and contact details accurately through approved lead management systems and procedures.
• Facilitate timely handover of customer enquiries and qualified leads to the Store Manager or Sales Consultant.
• Assist with coordinating customer appointments, follow-ups and test-drive requests.
• Ensure the store's visual presentation and promotional materials comply with the featured brand's guidelines.
• Assist with the setup and removal of promotional displays, marketing materials and campaign assets during quarterly brand transitions.
• Support in-store campaigns, product showcases, roadshows and customer engagement activities as required.
• Ensure brochures, vehicle information and promotional materials are current and accurately presented.
• Work closely with the Store Manager and assigned Sales Consultant to maintain smooth daily operations and a consistent customer experience.
• Follow instructions, operating procedures, service standards and duty schedules established by the Store Manager.
• Maintain professional grooming, punctuality and a customer-oriented attitude.
• Handle customer information responsibly and comply with company policies, mall regulations and applicable PDPA requirements.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager or management.
