Job summary

Medtronic Singapore Operations seeks a Maintenance Technician II to support manufacturing by performing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and line-sustaining activities. You will work with production and engineering to maintain uptime and safety, while documenting activities and supporting qualification efforts.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, ability to read schematics, and a commitment to 5S and process improvement in a regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, vocational certification, or technical education.
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, schematics and work instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools and basic test equipment.
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance documentation and equipment service records.

Responsibilities

  • Perform line-sustaining activities, equipment repairs, and process monitoring.
  • Execute preventive maintenance and maintain PM schedules (IndySoft).
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment from drawings and procedures.
  • Support equipment qualification activities including setup, testing, and verification with engineering.
  • Train and certify production operators on equipment procedures and documentation.
  • Maintain maintenance records and update events in designated systems.
  • Promote 5S and safe work practices while supporting continuous improvement.

A Day in the Life

The Manufacturing and Sustaining Operations (MSO) team is responsible for supporting production equipment reliability, maintenance excellence, and continuous manufacturing operations. This team partners closely with engineering and production functions to ensure equipment performance, process stability, and compliance with operational and safety requirements.

This position is based in Singapore and follows an onsite work arrangement. As a Maintenance Technician II, you will support manufacturing operations by performing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and line-sustaining activities. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain equipment uptime, support qualification activities, and promote a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform line-sustaining activities, equipment repairs, and process monitoring to support production continuity.
  • Execute preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and maintain accurate preventive maintenance schedules in IndySoft.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment using technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and written procedures.
  • Support equipment qualification activities, including equipment setup, testing, and verification in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Train and certify production operators on equipment operating procedures and process documentation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and equipment service records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor and update operational events, preventive maintenance activities, and assigned training requirements in designated systems.
  • Promote a safe work environment by identifying safety hazards, maintaining 5S standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, vocational certification, or technical education and a minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing or production equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment to support maintenance activities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance documentation and equipment service records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting equipment qualification, setup, testing, or validation activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within regulated manufacturing industries such as medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics, or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and basic equipment control systems.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, including preventive maintenance scheduling tools such as IndySoft.
  • Knowledge of 5S, safety practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
