Job summary

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or PLC-based systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment per schedules and plans.

A Day in the Life

The Manufacturing Engineering function supports production operations through equipment maintenance, process support, qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that help ensure product quality, equipment reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The team partners closely with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to sustain manufacturing performance, execute validation activities, and support the successful introduction and transfer of products and processes.

This position is based in Singapore and follows an onsite work arrangement to support manufacturing equipment and production operations.

As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II, you will support manufacturing equipment reliability, process qualification activities, and day-to-day production operations. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting validation protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to sustain manufacturing performance and ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment in accordance with approved schedules, procedures, and maintenance plans.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, process, and production issues to minimize downtime and restore operational performance.
  • Support Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) activities, including equipment setup, execution support, testing, and documentation.
  • Assist with product, process, equipment, and line qualification activities to support production readiness and successful validation outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Operations, and cross-functional partners on equipment installation, characterization, qualification, validation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, including nonconformance investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Train operators and production personnel on equipment operation, qualification activities, and approved manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, validation, and technical documentation in compliance with quality system and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma, Industrial Training Certificate (ITC), National Technical Certificate (NTC), or equivalent technical qualification with 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, manufacturing support, or production environments; or secondary education with 4+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Experience performing equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based systems.
  • Experience supporting equipment qualification, process validation, testing, or manufacturing documentation activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), ISO 13485, or related quality management system requirements.
  • Experience supporting nonconforming product investigations, corrective actions, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and manufacturing process optimization techniques.
  • Experience coaching operators, providing technical training, or serving as a technical resource within manufacturing teams.
