Job summary

Evonik Methionine SEA Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced maintenance professional to lead plant maintenance planning and scheduling for turnaround projects. You will coordinate internal teams and external vendors, manage SAP work orders, and ensure timely updates and documentation.

The role requires 5–10 years in maintenance, strong knowledge of SAP, and the ability to read drawings. Occasional field work in a chemical plant with PPE is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in relevant engineering (Mech/E&I) or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in maintenance field as technicians, supervisors, planners, coordinators or equivalent.
• Know-how in plant maintenance processes and equipment based on trade (Mech/E&I).
• Experience with SAP, understand commercial basics, and have cost awareness.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and equipment documentation.
• Knowledge about procurement processes and commercial basics.
• Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to analyze situations and provide technical solutions to maintenance challenges.
• Ability to work in cross functional teams; MS Project knowledge; Strong communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define work scope details, task sequences & required manpower (internal/external) including identifying scaffold & insulation requirement, estimating manhours and work durations.
• Identify and order parts required for the activities as well as identifying and prepare tools required in advance Manage & control plant turnaround schedule including tracking plant turnaround progress, providing activity updates, managing discovery activities, and ensuring schedule compliance.
• Schedule maintenance activities (including mandatory testing & inspections), by building advanced maintenance work schedule for TAR that involves own workforce, in-house contractors and/or external vendors that aims to maximize manpower utilization, optimize wrench time & cost, and minimize plant downtime.
• Manage SAP work orders for planning and scheduling.
• Document job plans for reoccurring activities in SAP task list that can be utilized for future planning.
• Must have knowledge on basic SAP modules such as notification, work order, maintenance plan, material management and procurement process that support the daily duties.
• Write, develop, and maintain work packages for turnaround/shutdown activities.
• Analyze and track the work order backlogs to ensure all are followed up properly Review and apply productivity studies conducted by maintenance coordinators or contractors to enhance future planning of related activities.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives related to cost, safety, and work quality.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma and/or Bachelor in relevant engineering related to trade or discipline (Mech / E&I) or equivalent.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in maintenance field as technicians, supervisors, planners, coordinators or equivalent.
• Additional skills and abilities required for this position: Know-how in plant maintenance processes and equipment based on trade or discipline (Mech/E&I) covering: Mechanical – Rotating & Static Equipment & Piping (Basic) E&I – Electrical equipment, PLCs, Instrumentation & controls (Basic)
• Experience with SAP, understand commercial basics, and have cost awareness.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and equipment documentation.
• Knowledge about procurement processes and commercial basics.
• Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to analyze situations, make decisions and provide related technical solutions to maintenance challenge.
• Ability to work in cross functional teams Strong knowledge in MS Project Strong communication skills
• Work environment is a mixture of office and field work in a chemical plant environment.
• Field work includes wearing of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
