Job summary

HRNET VENTURES PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Security Systems Technician to support government and enterprise clients.

You will troubleshoot complex systems on-site, manage access control and video management configurations, and perform preventive maintenance to keep critical environments secure and operational. The role emphasizes problem-solving across hardware, software, and network domains, with opportunities to coordinate with vendors and implement lifecycle upgrade plans.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Nitec in IT, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Technical certifications in CCTV and Access Control systems are highly recommended.
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of: Network connections, SQL databases, Windows Server, virtualized environments, door hardware, identity and access management, and Video Management Software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first and second-level escalation point for maintenance-related issues.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware, software, and network faults.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
• Replace faulty hardware, perform firmware upgrades, software patching, and system optimization.
• Coordinate with vendors for advanced technical support, bug fixes, and system updates.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize access control and video management systems.
• Support controller configurations, card readers, credential management, biometric authentication, and access permissions.
• Troubleshoot integrations between security subsystems and enterprise platforms.
• Ensure systems remain secure, stable, and operational in mission-critical environments.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and routine system health checks.
• Recommend upgrade strategies and lifecycle management plans.
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Update system design documentation whenever hardware or software changes are implemented.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Diploma / Nitec in IT, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.

• Technical certifications in CCTV and Access Control systems are highly recommended.

• 4 – 5 years of hands-on experience

• Strong understanding of:

  • Network connection

  • SQL databases, Windows Server, virtualized environments

  • Door hardware (maglocks, strikes, sensors, interlocks)

  • Identity and access management principles

  • Video Management Software

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose both software and hardware issues.

• Able to perform standby or after-hours support upon fault call activated on rotation basis.
