Job summary

The Yard Gymnastics in Singapore is seeking a full-time MAG Coach to lead Men's Artistic Gymnastics training across age groups. Based on-site, you will plan sessions, refine apparatus skills, and guide athletes toward safe progression and competition readiness.

You will collaborate with fellow coaches, provide feedback to athletes and families, ensure a positive training environment, and uphold facility standards while accommodating flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Coaching MAG at competitive/advanced recreational levels.
• Strong knowledge of MAG techniques and safe progression.
• Design structured training plans and set performance goals.
• Strong communication with athletes, families, and staff.
• Commitment to safety, spotting, injury prevention, first aid.
• Coaching certifications; FIG or national qualifications advantageous.
• Experience in high-performance sports.
• Flexible hours, including evenings/weekends.

Role Description

The Mag Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, responsible for coaching Men’s Artistic Gymnastics athletes across various age groups and skill levels. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering structured training sessions, teaching and refining technical skills on apparatus, and ensuring athletes follow safe progression pathways. The coach will monitor athlete development, prepare gymnasts for competitions, and collaborate with other coaches to align training plans and performance goals. Additional responsibilities include providing feedback to athletes and families, maintaining a safe and positive training environment, and supporting facility standards and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coaching Men’s Artistic Gymnastics at competitive or advanced recreational levels.
• Strong knowledge of MAG techniques, apparatus-specific skills, and safe progression methodologies.
• Ability to design structured training plans, set performance goals, and prepare athletes for local and international competitions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with athletes, families, and a multidisciplinary coaching team.
• Commitment to athlete safety, including understanding of spotting techniques, injury prevention, and basic first aid.
• Relevant coaching certifications in gymnastics or sports coaching; FIG or national-level qualifications are an advantage.
• Experience working in a high-performance or elite sports environment is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on training and competition schedules.
