Job summary

MNC Industrial Automation Company is seeking a vision applications engineer in Singapore. The role involves developing and maintaining vision solutions, selecting hardware, and configuring systems to meet performance targets.

You will work with libraries such as HIK, OpenCV, HALCON or Cognex VisionPro, with a focus on training and technical support for field engineers and customers. 8-hour workdays, with competitive welfare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in vision applications.
• Hands-on experience with vision software libraries such as HIK, OpenCV, HALCON, or Cognex VisionPro.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and maintain various vision applications, including measurement, defect inspection, component presence detection, and more.
• Make decisions on the selection, procurement, installation, and maintenance of vision-related components such as PCs, cameras, and lighting based on application requirements.
• Configure vision systems, including host PCs, frame grabbers, cameras, illumination, motion control, and interfaces, to achieve optimal system performance.
• Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
• Evaluate and establish vision system performance specifications, as well as prepare technical documentation and conduct training.
• Explore new vision technologies and implement them in relevant projects.
