M&E Manager/Engineer

Job summary

EM Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to plan, supervise, and deliver maintenance and project works. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, prepare estimates, and ensure safe, on-time delivery of upgrades and A&A projects.

You will liaise with clients, authorities, and suppliers, monitor system performance, and contribute to business development through proactive proposals and site briefings. A 3+ year track record in M&E is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant M&E experience (facilities maintenance, project management).
• Solar PV installation/maintenance experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, supervise M&E maintenance and project works incl. preventive & corrective maintenance, upgrades, and minor A&A projects.
• Prepare tenders, cost estimates, schedules, method statements, and project docs for maintenance contracts and works.
• Coordinate planning, material requisition, cost control, site supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Lead and coordinate supervisors, technicians, vendors, and contractors to meet safety, schedule, budget, and quality goals.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, suppliers on technical, operational and contractual matters.
• Monitor performance of M&E systems, implement actions to maximise uptime and efficiency.
• Support business development: identify opportunities, attend site briefings, prepare proposals, follow up with clients.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and company procedures.
• Carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Job description

• Plan, manage, and supervise M&E maintenance and project works, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, upgrading works, and minor A&A projects.
• Prepare tenders, quotations, cost estimates, work schedules, method statements, and project documentation for maintenance contracts and project works.
• Carry out project planning, material requisition, cost control, progress tracking, site supervision, testing and commissioning coordination, and handover documentation.
• Lead and coordinate supervisors, technicians, vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders on technical, operational, contractual, and project-related matters.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of M&E systems and equipment and implement Improvement actions to maximise uptime and operational efficiency.
• Support business development activities, including identifying potential opportunities, attending site briefings, preparing proposals, following up with clients, and assisting in securing new projects or maintenance contracts.
• Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with workplace safety, health, environmental, and company procedures.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in M&E services, facilities maintenance, project management.
• Experience in solar photovoltaic system installation, operations, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, or project coordination will be an advantage.
