Job summary

CHECC (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is looking for a Plumbing and Sanitary Engineer to plan, design, and oversee plumbing and sanitary system works—including water supply, drainage, sewerage, and rainwater—for large-scale projects.

You will review drawings to ensure compliance with PUB, NEA, and BCA requirements, coordinate with consultants and M&E trades, prepare shop drawings, supervise site installation, and conduct testing and commissioning to meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Experience in building or infrastructure projects (e.g., MRT, hospitals, large commercial developments) preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee plumbing and sanitary system works (water supply, drainage, sewerage, rainwater, sanitary plumbing).
• Review design drawings, submissions, and material specs for compliance with project and authority requirements (e.g., PUB, NEA, BCA).
• Liaise with consultants, architects, civil, structural, and other M&E trades to resolve interfaces and routing issues.
• Prepare and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documents for submission and approval.
• Supervise site installation works, ensuring quality, safety, and alignment to project schedules.
• Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and agencies for site inspections and approvals.
• Conduct testing and commissioning for systems (water pressure tests, leak tests, sanitary discharge).
• Ensure works meet local codes and standards (CP48, SS636, PUB requirements).
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support during construction and post-handover stages.
• Assist in preparing method statements, risk assessments, and maintenance manuals.
