What the role is

[LTA-PT] DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, RAIL REGULATION

What you will be working on

The Rail Regulation Division is responsible for the regulation of rail operators' licences, codes of practice and operational safety as well as monitoring the performance of rail operators in operating and maintaining Singapore's Rapid Transit Systems (MRT & LRT). You will be part of a dynamic team directly involved in ensuring safe and reliable train services on MRT and LRT.

As a key member of the dynamic team, you will be directly involved in the:

• a) Monitoring of rail operators' performance in areas of operation, maintenance and safety, through review of regulatory submissions by the operators, the conduct of audits and inspections and implementing initiatives and programmes to ensure that the commuters' safety and travelling experience are safeguarded.
• b) Conducting of regulatory investigations on rail incidents; Rail emergency exercises conducted by LTA and the rail operators as well as rail operations impact analysis for service disruptions.

• Has knowledge in performing risk assessments, emergency planning, maintenance methodology and operation planning.
• Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
