Job summary

Land Transport Authority invites applications for the Deputy/Assistant Manager, Data Management, Bus Information Systems. You will oversee data management and deployment for the fleet management system across buses and depots, handling schedules from PTOs and vendors.

You will contribute to business intelligence reporting and fleet data management to support operations and investigations, while engaging PTOs and system vendors and assisting the Public Transport directorate on initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant data analytics experience.
• Proficiency with AI/MI tools and MS 365 apps.
• Knowledge of Python/SQL and GIS tools (OSM/QGIS/ArcGIS) is a plus.

[What the role is]

[LTA-PT] DEPUTY/ASSISTANT MANAGER, DATA MANAGEMENT, BUS INFORMATION SYSTEMS

[What you will be working on]

You will be part of the team overseeing the management and deployment of data for the fleet management system on buses and in bus depots. This includes processing of fleet schedules from public transport operators (PTOs) and appointed vendors, business intelligence reporting and fleet data management to support operations and incidents investigations.

Besides engaging PTOs and system vendors, you will be involved in supporting Public Transport directorate or LTA initiatives or event, and performing other tasks as assigned.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Proficient in knowledge on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Intelligence (MI) tools and Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Co-pilot, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in Python/SQL programming and/or open street map (OSM), QGIS or ArcGIS would be advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. A service-oriented team player with pleasant personality and can work well with internal and external stakeholders.
• Meticulous and organised, with an eye for details, and open minded to develop new skillset and adopt new technologies.
• Resourceful, innovative, and adaptable to change.
