Job summary

Government Technology Agency (GovTech) in Singapore seeks a Senior/Executive Engineer for Active Mobility to lead network planning and engineering design for walking and cycling schemes. You will implement and review projects in collaboration with government agencies to improve mobility for pedestrians and cyclists.

You will provide professional advice to developers and consultants, engage with communities and stakeholders, and help shape policy through technical analysis and project reviews.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Civil Engineering, Traffic / Transportation Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in Traffic / Transportation-related or operational fields / familiar with highway design.
• Possess initiative, good communication and leadership skills with lateral thinking ability.
• Knowledge of Microstation/AutoCAD/ArcGIS Pro would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design walking and cycling schemes, and review related projects in Singapore.
• Coordinate with government agencies and stakeholders to implement active mobility schemes.
• Provide professional advice to developers, consultants and other agencies on related studies.
• Engage the community and stakeholders to gather input and communicate project rationale.
• Contribute to a dynamic working environment requiring technical and analytical abilities.

What the role is

SENIOR / EXECUTIVE ENGINEER, ACTIVE MOBILITY

What you will be working on

You will play an active role in the network planning, engineering design, implementation and review of walking and cycling-related schemes in Singapore. You will work closely with government agencies and stakeholders to spearhead projects that will enhance the travel experience of commuters, cyclists, and pedestrians, to create an improved environment of active mobility for all users. In addition, you will offer professional advice to developers, consultants and other government agencies on related projects and studies. Besides exercising your professional judgement. You will also develop your interpersonal skills through interaction and communication with the community and various stakeholders. What we are looking for
