Public Service Division is seeking a professional to manage the full lifecycle of traffic schemes in Singapore. You will guide planning and execution with strong design and traffic analysis to deliver safe, efficient mobility for all road users.
You will analyze how human factors influence road design, advise developers and agencies, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement and review solutions. Data science and GIS insights will shape recommendations.
You will play an active role in the entire lifecycle of traffic schemes in Singapore.
Applying strong design and traffic analysis skills as you guide the planning and execution of traffic management strategies that are safe, efficient, and intuitive for all road users.
A key part of this role involves understanding how human behaviour, perception, and decision-making interact with road infrastructure — and using that understanding to inform better engineering solutions.
You will be advising developers, consultants, and agencies from the initial planning and design stages to the implementation and ongoing review.
This includes collaborating with stakeholders to identify traffic management needs, developing innovative solutions, overseeing the execution of plans, and continually assessing their effectiveness to ensure optimal traffic flow and safety.
You will also be spearheading projects to enhance road safety and create an improved living environment for all road users.
In this position, you will leverage on data science techniques and advanced geographic information systems (GIS) tools such as QGIS to analyse traffic patterns and make data-driven recommendations that improve the travel experience for commuters, motorists, and cyclists.

Knowledge in Civil / Traffic / Transportation Engineering or similar
At least 2 years of experience in Traffic / Transportation-related or operational fields / familiar with human factors and road design concepts are preferred
Possess initiative, strong analytical skills, good communication skills with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical audiencesand leadership skills with lateral thinking ability
Knowledge of GIS/Traffic Microsimulation is an advantage
