Job summary

EXASOFT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a senior localization engineer to lead localization tooling implementations and integration across content platforms. The role emphasizes ownership of tooling, automation, and scalable localization workflows.

You will design automation for content extraction, build APIs to connect TMS, content repos, and CI/CD pipelines, and drive quality standards across multiple products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on localization tools and TMS such as Phrase or Passolo.
• Understanding of localization workflows: extraction, translation, review, QA, release.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience designing automation frameworks.
• Strong backend development and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for localization implementation and quality standards within assigned products or content areas.
• Improve efficiency, quality, and scalability of localization production through engineering-driven solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers and internal teams on localization tooling and implementation.
• Identify localization workflow bottlenecks and drive improvements through system enhancements and automation.
• Contribute to the evolution of shared localization tools and technical standards.
• Build and enhance integrations between product systems and localization platforms, including TMS, content repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop automation for content extraction, file processing, translation handoff, validation, and testing.
• Partner closely with Localization Program Management and other technical teams to support localization decisions and quality standards.

Job description

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with localization tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS) such as Phrase, Passolo, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end localization workflows, including content extraction, translation, review, QA, and release.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience designing, developing, or improving automation frameworks.
• Strong backend development and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating localization workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with automated linguistic QA and validation tools.
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Exposure to AI-driven translation or localization workflow automation.
