Job summary

Woodside Energy Group is seeking a Commercial LNG Trade Senior Operator based in Singapore. The role supports LNG trading activities, partnering with LNG Traders to ensure seamless cargo execution across the global value chain.

You will coordinate with shipping, scheduling, cargo ops, and counterparties to manage end-to-end workflows from deal capture through delivery. The role acts as a control tower for LNG cargo execution, aiming to protect value and optimise throughput.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years LNG/oil trading operations experience.
• Strong understanding of LNG logistics and contracts.
• Degree desirable but not essential.
• Commercial mindset linked to P&L impact.
• Proven ability to resolve cargo execution issues.
• Independent worker in fast-paced trading environments.
• Excellent communication and cross-cultural teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end commercial execution of physical LNG cargoes, ensuring trades are accurately captured, executed in line with contractual obligations, and delivered safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate between LNG Traders and key stakeholders, including cargo operations, shipping, scheduling, risk, finance, treasury, legal teams, and counterparties.
• Monitor cargo movements and milestones, proactively managing schedule changes and delivery adjustments.
• Lead the resolution of cargo execution challenges, coordinating cross-functional teams to address diversions, delays, swaps, and scheduling conflicts.
• Support LNG trading and portfolio optimisation activities by facilitating cargo diversions and timing adjustments.
• Identify operational risks and constraints, develop contingency plans, and drive commercially focused solutions to protect portfolio value.
• Maintain accurate LNG trade and cargo scheduling data across Woodside trading systems, reconcile information between platforms, and deliver regular reporting on status and risks.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, terminal operators, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
