TikTok’s TT-Search Algorithm & Applied AI internship offers hands‑on work in the algorithm team behind TikTok Search. You’ll contribute to building a search foundation that blends retrieval, LLMs, and agent‑driven tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

You will engage in short‑term projects, learn on the job, and gain exposure to multimodal search, agent orchestration, and evaluation systems while helping shape future discovery experiences for users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in machine learning / deep learning and familiarity with cutting‑edge LLM and Agent technologies.
• Experience with LLM / Agent‑related projects (pre‑training / fine‑tuning / alignment, tool calling, planning, memory, multi‑agent) is preferred.
• Familiarity with PyTorch / TensorFlow for model training and deployment; knowledge of acceleration and inference optimization.

Responsibilities

• Search LLM Foundation R&D: build and optimize the search domain LLM foundation; work on in‑house post‑training pipelines.
• Agent Engineering & Multi‑Agent Orchestration: contribute to building Harness and Loop for task execution and coordination.
• Long‑term memory, self‑improvement, and data closed loop work on RSI and automated evaluation.
