Responsibilities

• Identify potential ships for employment and source vessels for chartering or trading opportunities.
• Develop new customers and expand the client base by pursuing new business opportunities.
• Maintain up-to-date market intelligence on shipping trends and developments.
• Conduct market analysis and provide clients with tailored insights and trade ideas.
• Negotiate chartering agreements and draft comprehensive recap documentation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with port and flag state rules and shipment terms.
• Communicate regularly with shipowners, charterers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor vessel performance and costs to optimize efficiency.
• Manage COAs with charterers and shipowners.
• Prepare KPI reports and meeting materials for clients.
• Support due diligence and onboarding of new clients and brokerage agreements.
• Review internal procedures to identify and manage operational risks.
• Attend client meetings and industry events, including travel, to strengthen relationships.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support other business functions.
