Job summary

Tyson Jay Management Pte Ltd is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support reliability, performance and lifecycle management of enterprise Linux infrastructure in a managed services environment. You will manage day-to-day operations, monitor system health, apply patches, automate tasks and respond to incidents while maintaining runbooks and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Linux system administration or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on Linux experience, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, with monitoring.
• Experience with Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet or Chef scripting/tools.
• ITIL Foundation and RHCSA certifications, with strong troubleshooting and teamwork.

We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to support the reliability, performance and lifecycle management of enterprise Linux infrastructure. The role covers day-to-day systems operations, monitoring, automation, patching and incident support within a managed services environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux server environments across installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and ongoing maintenance.
• Monitor system health, capacity and performance, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to maintain service availability.
• Maintain configuration standards and support automation of recurring administration and operational tasks.
• Apply approved patches, security updates and system hardening controls across the server environment.
• Support system baselines, configuration backups and recovery procedures to maintain operational consistency.
• Work with infrastructure, network, storage and security teams to investigate incidents and restore affected services.
• Use scripting and automation tools to improve operational efficiency, maintenance and routine system administration.
• Maintain technical documentation and runbooks, and participate in an after-hours support rotation for critical incidents.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Linux system administration, infrastructure operations or a similar technical environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
• Exposure to scripting and configuration-management tools such as Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• ITIL Foundation and RHCSA, or equivalent certifications, with good troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Information

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Public Holidays.
• The role includes participation in an after-hours support rotation for critical incidents.
