Qualifications

• BE/MS degree in computer science or electrical engineering is required.
• 2–3 years of professional software development experience in a Linux environment.
• Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills.
• Proficiency with C/C++ and Linux system concepts is required.

Responsibilities

• Study assigned enterprise systems and understand how NextLabs technology can be integrated.
• Discuss with Product Management and establish the Functional Spec and the Design Documents for the solution.
• Define, design, and develop solution components and extensions, including workflows, and integrate with information depositories and identity management systems.
• Deliver architecture, solution, and code for the solution; implement Policy Enforcement components using C/C++.
• Improve performance and scalability of the solution and guide QA to ensure thorough testing.
• Coordinate with Customer Support to ensure the solution is maintainable and supportable.
• Collaborate with NextLabs teams in China and the US to ensure compatibility and integrated delivery.

NextLabs® (www.nextlabs.com)is the leading provider of information risk management (IRM) software for large enterprises, has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to be part of the development and support effort in creating the next generation IRM solutions. Our customers include many prominent enterprises in Aerospace & Defense, Financial Services, and High-Tech Manufacturing and Engineering industries.

The solution engineering function focuses on productizing integration of NextLabs platform with various enterprise applications, such as, ERP, and Cloud applications. It also manages the custom development activities as an extension of NextLabs products for various customer needs at both pre-sales and post-sales stage.

Responsibilities include:

• Study assigned enterprise systems and understand how NextLabs technology can be integrated.
• Discuss with Product Management and establish the Functional Spec and the Design Documents for the solution.
• Define, design, and develop solution and related components such as extensions, customized workflow etc. Design and conduct integration with the key information depositories and identity management systems.
• Deliver best in class architecture, solution, and code for the solution; design & implementation of Policy Enforcement components using C/C++.
• Take the lead on enhancing the performance and scalability of the solution.
• Guide Quality Assurance team for the necessary testing.
• Work with Customer Support to ensure solution is supportable.
• Coordinate with other technical teams including the NextLabs China and US teams to ensure compatibility with other NextLabs components and deliver as an integrated solution.

Requirements:

• BE/MS degree in computer science or electrical engineering.
• Experience: 2-3 years of professional software development experience in a Linux environment.
• Strong Object-oriented analysis and design skills.
• For the C/C++ role
• Low-Level Linux OS: Deep understanding of Linux system calls, memory management, and file system internals.
• Concurrency: Proven experience with multi-threading, synchronization primitives (mutexes, locks), and concurrent data structures.
• Networking: Practical knowledge of socket programming and network protocols.
• Tooling: Advanced debugging skills using GDB, along with experience using memory analysis tools like Val grind.
• Database Experience as a plus: Familiarity interfacing C/C++ applications with database engines (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, or NoSQL solutions), including writing efficient embedded queries or utilizing database drivers.
• Network Gateways as a plus: Exposure to designing, configuring, or developing network gateways, proxy servers, or data routing applications.
