Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a maritime operations assistant to support Line Management in vessel selection based on load ability and trade area suitability. You will execute voyage instructions to new chartered vessels and ensure procedures are followed throughout the charter.

Responsibilities include maximizing vessel stowage with minimal restows, planning DG-compliant stowage, monitoring vessel reports to minimize delays, assisting LM with alerts, issuing speed adjustments to Captain,

Responsibilities

• Assist Line Management in vessel selection with reference to load ability and operational suitability in specific trade areas.
• Execution of voyage instructions to new chartered vessels and ensure that operational procedures are followed by the vessel throughout the charter.
• Maximize vessel stowage based on declared with minimum shut out / restows due to stowage issues, with equal crane split to optimize cargo operations and without impeding vessel safety.
• Stowage Planning of the vessel to be in compliance with DG segregation, Vessel stability, Lashing parameters, Line of Sight, Trim to meet safety requirements as per regulations.
• Closely monitor Vessel Reports in system to minimize pending reports and delayed submission. Ensure vessel report are accurate. Assist Line Managers (LM) with monitoring of alerts to ensure vessels are always following instructions.
• Speed adjustment instructions to Captain.
• Co-ordinate bunkering operations with local agency/operations to ensure smooth operation.
• Advise planned draft and load ability for draft restricted ports
