Job summary

DAISHO DEVELOPMENT SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking an entry-level kitchen assistant to support chefs in preparing and cooking food items. You will wash, cut, portion, and help with various cooking methods while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a busy kitchen.

You will follow halal considerations when applicable and collaborate with a team to ensure high-quality service. Weekend and public holiday shifts are required, and the role offers on-site work in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Knowledge of Halal food requirements is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks in the preparation and cooking of food items.
• Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, and portioning.
• Apply basic dry heat and moist heat cooking methods.
• Demonstrate proper knife handling and food preparation techniques.
• Ensure food is prepared and served according to quality and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations.
• Receive, inspect, and store food products appropriately.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Support inventory control and stock replenishment activities.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure kitchen environment.
• Work closely with team members to deliver excellent customer service.
