Job summary

Eurofins Mechem Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a meticulous Bunker Quantity Surveyor with a valid BQS license to join our marine fuel surveying team. You will oversee accurate measurement, documentation, and reporting of bunker transfers in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key duties include pre- and post-bunker surveys, precise ullage-based measurements, keeping calibration of equipment, and coordinating with vessel crews and port authorities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid BQS license.
• 2-5 years in bunker surveying or related marine/oil & gas role.
• Knowledge of marine fuel systems, tank calibration, and quantity measurement.
• Familiarity with maritime regulations and port authority procedures.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-bunker surveys onboard vessels and at shore terminals.
• Accurately measure fuel quantities using ullage, temperature, density, etc.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards during bunker operations.
• Prepare and issue bunker survey reports and documentation on time.
• Act as an independent verifier during fuel delivery to protect stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve quantity discrepancies or disputes during bunkering.
• Liaise with vessel crew, suppliers, and port authorities.
• Maintain calibration and care of surveying equipment.
• Ensure HSSE compliance during site visits.
