The role requires a valid BQS license and hands-on experience in bunker surveying aboard vessels and at shore terminals. You will work under HSSE standards, coordinate with vessel crews and port authorities, prepare reports, and resolve quantity discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid BQS license.
• 2-5 years of bunker quantity surveying or related marine/oil & gas role.
• Strong knowledge of marine fuel systems, tank calibration, and quantity measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with maritime regulations and port authority procedures.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-bunker surveys onboard vessels and at shore terminals.
• Accurately measure fuel quantities using ullage, temperature, and density methods.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO 22192:2021) during bunkering operations.
• Prepare and issue bunker survey reports and documentation timely.
• Act as an independent verifier during fuel delivery to protect stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve quantity discrepancies during bunkering.
• Liaise with vessel crew, suppliers, and port authorities during operations.
• Maintain calibration and care of surveying equipment.
• Ensure HSSE compliance during site visits.
