Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd is sourcing a Library Officer (Junior College) for Yishun. The role focuses on daily library operations, circulation and cataloguing, with collaboration with teachers to enhance educational activities.

The position is a 10-month contract with potential extension, offering a 42-hour work week and duties including space management, stock checks, and reporting on usage statistics.

Qualifications

• Preferably at least 3 years of experience in national, secondary school or tertiary libraries.
• Good knowledge of library operations, collection management and the Dewey Decimal Classification System.
• Experience with Spydus and MS Office; ability to develop library programmes with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the school library, its collection, facilities and services.
• Handle circulation, classification, cataloguing, shelving and maintenance of print and non-print resources.
• Maintain library records, databases and past assessment papers.
• Coordinate with suppliers on procurement and delivery of resources and prizes.
• Provide library, information and enquiry services to students and teachers.
• Plan and support reading initiatives and library programmes with teachers.
• Promote resources through displays, newsletters and announcements.
• Operate LAS and maintain accurate collection records.
• Conduct inventory, shelf reading and annual stocktaking.
