Job summary

MURATA ELECTRONICS SINGAPORE (PTE) LTD is seeking a capable legal professional based in Singapore (Yishun) to support daily operations, manage contracts, and handle disputes across ASEAN and India.

The role requires a law degree, 4-7 years of in-house or law-firm experience, and strong MS Office skills. You will train sales teams, oversee compliance programs, and coordinate with external counsel. Travel to regional offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in legal field, international business or equivalent.
• 4-7 years of legal experience in law firms or as an in-house legal/compliance.
• Experience advising on information security matters.
• Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel within ASEAN and India regions.
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for daily operations and projects, including contract drafting, reviewing, and execution.
• Train sales members in ASEAN + India on Purchase and Non-Disclosure Agreements to mitigate risks.
• Coordinate with external law firms on disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters affecting the business.
• Conduct compliance trainings on anti-cartel, anti-corruption, anti-fraud, conflicts of interest and whistleblowing.
• Manage whistleblowing system and assist investigations of reports and misconduct.
• Review and revise internal compliance rules and guidance.
• Monitor regulatory changes in ASEAN + India and communicate implications to affiliates.
• Support external audits on legal matters and improve contract review efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior legal staff when needed.

POSITION PROFILE

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for daily operation, as wellas projects assigned as person in charge (such as legal research and writing,drafting, proofreading, reviewing and arranging for execution of relevantcontracts, creation and update of templates and the like)
• Provide training for sales members in ASEAN +India on Purchase Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements and any relevantcontracts to improve their awareness with regards to the potential legal risks
• Proactively address legal issues with legal firmsincluding disputes, litigation, and any regulatory matters that might affectMurata's business in ASEAN + India
• Conduct compliance trainings relating toanti-cartel, anti-corruption, anti-fraud, conflicts of interest, whistleblowingand the like, and review relevant materials as appropriate
• Management of whistleblowing system as windowperson and supporting investigations of reports via such system and other majormisconducts by employees if any
• Review and revise internal rules related tocompliance
• Look into latest information on legal mattersincluding revisions of laws and regulations in ASEAN + India, and provide suchinformation to our affiliates therein
• Advice and support to external audits on legaldomain
• Assist in improving work efficiency to thecontract reviewing process
• Guidance and training for young legal staffthrough sharing of experience, if necessary.

Ability / Competency Required

• Degree in legal field, international business orequivalent
• Minimum 4-7 years of legal experience working in lawfirms or as an in-house legal and compliance
• Experience on advising on information security matters
• Highly competent with MS Office (Power Point, Excel andespecially Word)
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Able to multi-task and self-motivated individual under achallenging work environment
• A team player with a positive attitude, independent andpro-active individual
• Able to go on a business trip for ASEAN and India region
• Good social etiquette and writing skills
