Job summary

Kerry Consulting seeks a Singapore-qualified Legal Counsel to join the legal team for a global engineering client. You will draft, review and negotiate EPC, consultancy, procurement and subcontractor contracts, while advising on development, tendering and delivery across regional projects.

The role demands 4–7 years of EPC/construction experience, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to provide practical guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Singapore or common law qualified lawyer with 4–7 years of experience advising on EPC, construction, infrastructure or large-scale engineering projects.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills for complex construction and commercial contracts.
• Excellent commercial acumen and ability to advise across fast-paced project environments.

Responsibilities

About the Company

Our client is a global engineering company renowned for executing complex and high-value projects. As the business continues to expand across the region, they are seeking a Legal Counsel to join their legal team.

Responsibilities

You will provide legal support across the full lifecycle of projects, advising on project development, tendering, contract negotiation, execution, and project delivery. You will draft, review, and negotiate EPC contracts, consultancy agreements, procurement contracts, subcontractor agreements, and other commercial documentation. Working closely with project managers, procurement, and commercial teams, you will identify legal and commercial risks, advise on contract administration and claims, manage disputes where required, and support compliance with applicable laws and internal governance requirements.

Requirements

You should be a Singapore or common law qualified lawyer with around 4-7 years experience advising on EPC, construction, infrastructure, or large-scale engineering projects, gained either in private practice or in-house. Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex construction and commercial contracts is essential. The successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, sound stakeholder management skills, and the ability to provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced project environment. Experience supporting cross-border projects within the Asia Pacific region will be an advantage.
